Focusing on the identification and subsequent elimination of inefficient paper-based workflows and processes, Konica Minolta’s Smart Workflow Service (SWS) employs bespoke software to capture and categorise hard copy output, exposing previously invisible paper-centric processes.
Categorisation enables the identification of individual workflows – identifying not only how much is being printed – but what is being printed, and why.
Armed with this information, Konica Minolta is able to attribute cost to each individual process and compare this against the equivalent cost of a fully digitised workflow – enabling you to quantify the extent of any potential savings.
Going ‘beyond OPS’ and adopting Workflow-as-a-Service (WaaS) through the implementation of SWS can realise a number of additional benefits including further optimisation of currently deployed office print infrastructure, swapping capex for opex, and enhanced environmental credentials.
Konica Minolta’s SWS is entirely unique, providing automated analysis of document content in order to identify their place in existing paper-centric workflows. Using this data, our workflow specialists are able to quantify existing costs and propose best-of-breed document management applications to facilitate digital transformation; prioritising areas of particular concern.
