Konica Minolta to show the future of print with 20 European product premiers at drupa

| 25 March 2024

Konica Minolta will unveil 20 European premieres at drupa, which will shape the future of commercial printing to label printing, packaging and industrial printing. These will include the next-generation High-Speed UV Inkjet Press AccurioJet 60000, and the AccurioPress C84hc which uses high chroma toner for vivid colour. Visitors to Hall 8b will also witness a demonstration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven fully automated production lines.

The High-Speed UV Inkjet Press AccurioJet 60000 delivers industry-leading productivity, capable of 6,000 sheets per hour and duplex printing capabilities. It produces outstanding image quality and reproduction stability across a range of media, taking advantage of Konica Minolta’s inline sensors and a spectrophotometer to automatically monitor printing conditions.

Visitors to Konica Minolta at drupa will also be the first to see the AccurioPress C84hc, which uses high chroma toner. Free from the restrictions imposed by the colour gamut of ordinary toner, it is possible to create prints with consistently bright and vivid colours.

The company will also introduce MYIRO colour management tools for graphics arts applications. Developed by Konica Minolta’s Sensing Business Unit, these tools include spectrophotometers for advanced colour management and high-speed auto scanning.

With a 2,400 square metre exhibition space (Hall 8b) and six interlinked areas across two floors, Konica Minolta will have one of the largest stands at the exhibition. The company will be joined on the stand by a host of partners. MGI (MGI Digital Printing Systems) will demonstrate how foiling, varnishing, printing, folding, and drying can be combined into a single fully integrated production run. It will also show its new JetSeal and inline die cutter, as well as launching an advanced version of its AccurioPro Colour Manager software suite.

Also joining Konica Minolta will be Industrial Inkjet Ltd (IIJ), a world leader in bespoke inkjet customisation, which exclusively uses Konica Minolta print heads in its products; and Plockmatic, the global supplier of finishing solutions that will show new products, as well as Acco and Fiery.

Providing visitors with inspiration for the future of print, Konica Minolta will also be running fully automated production lines driven by Artificial Intelligence, and the never-before-seen use of robotics that includes the premiere of a Cobot arm.
