Konica Minolta's AccurioPress 6136 scores highly in Keypoint Intelligence tests

Up to 95% accuracy of front-to-back registration and no intervention for halftone consistency. These are some of the headline results achieved by Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress 6136 in the Keypoint Intelligence Buyers Lab High Performance Test.

There were also just four paper jams and one onsite service visit required during the million-impression print run conducted over a one-month period.

The key performance factors considered in the test are media runnability, registration and image quality. Seven different job types were run and included a mix of simplex and duplex, high- and low-coverage documents, plus a variety of finishing and stacking output workflows. A range of SRA3, A3 and A4 media was run from lightweight 55gsm to heavyweight 300gsm.

Malcolm Smith, Product Manager - Production Print Hardware at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd said: “We are delighted – but not surprised – that the Konica Minolta AccurioPress 6136 performed so well. We are particularly proud of the front-to-back registration accuracy. For any operation, consistent and saleable output is a vital requirement and these results once again underpin how our technology reliably performs sheet after sheet, even in exacting test conditions.”

David Sweetnam, Keypoint Intelligence’s Director of Research and Lab Services, EMEA/Asia, said: “The AccurioPress 6136 delivered an outstanding performance on so many levels. For one, registration isn’t a hit-or-miss guessing game – it is supremely accurate, while halftone quality consistency is hallmark, whether using lightweight or heavyweight media. And, we saw no image quality issues whatsoever over the one-million page test. Media runnability was almost fault free, and with only one onsite service required, the key operator is in control of the environment ensuring downtime is minimised. Customers can be confident that the Konica Minolta AccurioPress 6136 not only is a stable performer, but that it can deliver output that’s saleable, day in and day out.”

The Konica Minolta AccurioPress 6136 series runs at 136ppm A4 and 78ppm A3, helping increase customer profitability with enhanced productivity and smooth, streamlined workflows. It delivers greater productivity to enhance job capacity, reliability and flexibility enabling operations to expand their capabilities, and is environmentally conscious with reduced fuser temp variables supporting a Carbon Neutrality programme.

Automatic and real-time colour and registration adjustment is delivered by the IQ-501. This software accurately controls colour and duplex registration. Both can be adjusted in real time – something uniquely offered by Konica Minolta technology. Simple, easy, automatic and real-time colour and registration adjustment is now an every-day production reality. IQ-501 accurately controls colour and duplex registration.
