Managed Cloud Hosting services combine commercial and operations rewards with Konica Minolta's public sector expertise.
Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Limited has today announced that since being accepted on to the UK Government’s G-Cloud 10 framework, the company has seen a surge in public sector organisations wanting to adopt its new Managed Cloud Hosting services, as part of their digital transformation strategies and in-line with the Government’s Cloud First policy.
Konica Minolta is a leading provider of digital print and Managed Print Services to the UK Public Sector, however as Public Sector Business Unit Leader at Konica Minolta, Jonathan Smith explains, this is evolving: “Following the launch of our Managed IT Services offering last year, we have quickly built a strong reputation for more than just digital print and managed content services.” Smith adds: “Public sector organisations have been quick to recognise that our understanding of their specific IT environments and challenges, coupled with an extensive cloud offering, is an ideal combination. As such, they are making us a key technology partner, at the heart of their digital transformation strategies, to deliver more services at better value to UK citizens.”
Konica Minolta customers include the City of London as well as local and central government departments, education establishments, NHS and emergency services. Smith continues: “Today, through the acceptance of Managed Cloud Hosting services to the G-Cloud 10 framework, all public sector organisations can benefit from fast, secure, reliable and flexible cloud services that boast expert 24/7 monitoring and 100% network uptime.”
In addition to the many commercial benefits of moving from on-premise to cloud based infrastructure (significantly reducing hardware procurement, maintenance costs, as well as freeing up valuable office space), major advantages include improved accessibly of information and applications to an increasingly distributed and on-the-move workforce, coupled with improved security. Konica Minolta delivers this through a dedicated UK data centre.
“We ensure that every organisation that entrusts us with their IT infrastructure will not see a single byte of data leave the UK,” observes Smith. “Given the current uncertainty surrounding the UK’s relationship with the EU, this is a vitally important consideration for all public sector organisations.”
Managed Cloud Hosting services are available from Konica Minolta now via the G-Cloud Framework.
