FastPrint, the long‑established commercial printer in Hastings, has significantly accelerated production, halved turnaround times and boosted profitability following its investment in Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C4070 and high‑performance AccurioPress C7090 digital presses, supplied and supported by Service Offset Supplies (SOS). The upgrade has enabled the business to take on larger commercial volumes, deliver greater colour accuracy for fine‑art clients, and run 10,000+ print jobs without manual checking or batching – transforming day‑to‑day operations and strengthening competitiveness.
These operational gains have been driven by FastPrint’s expanded digital production setup, which includes the AccurioPress C4070 for dependable, high‑quality output and the flagship AccurioPress C7090 equipped with Konica Minolta’s latest IQ501 Intelligent Quality Optimiser. The IQ501 provides automated colour and registration control, enabling long, uninterrupted runs and dramatically reducing operator intervention. SOS has also provided FastPrint with a Konica Minolta bizhub 751i Flux multifunctional device for its Hastings shopfront, ensuring consistent quality across walk‑in and commercial work.
The technology investment has opened new opportunities across healthcare, local councils, political campaigns, arts organisations and high‑volume commercial clients. Lower click rates and reduced waste have strengthened profitability, while improved colour stability supports demanding fine‑art and craftsmanship‑focused applications.
FastPrint’s decision to modernise followed a period of rapid growth. Its previous presses had reached end‑of‑life after nearly a decade of heavy use, limiting productivity and consistency. With customer expectations rising and print runs increasing in size and complexity, the business needed greater speed, reliability and automation to maintain service levels and support future expansion.
