  • A Trusted Print Partnership Supporting Plashet's Growing Needs

Plashet in East Ham, London, has modernised its print infrastructure through a strategic partnership with Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd. Seventeen devices, including a dedicated production print room, to support a bookletised curriculum, with over 2.5 million prints produced last year.

CHALLENGE

In 2024, Plashet reached the end of its existing print contract and initiated a competitive tenderprocess, evaluating seven suppliers. The school sought the best possible deal for a five-year renewal, prioritising reliability, service quality, and cost-effectiveness. During the previous five-year period, the school had produced around 20 million prints, so it needed a robust solution to match its requirements. A key requirement was support for high-volume booklet production, which is catered for by an onsite production print room, and underpins the school’s curriculum. With limited reliance on commercial textbooks.

SOLUTION

Following the supplier evaluation process, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd was chosen via the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) Framework to deliver a comprehensive updated print infrastructure tailored to Plashet’s needs. The solution included 17 print devices comprising 15 bizhub C301i MFDs deployed across departments, with an AccurioPrint 2100 mono production printer and a powerful AccurioPrint C750i A3 75-pages-per-minute colour office printer in the print room.
