Konica Minolta recognised for its exceptional employee offering by the Top Employers Institute for the sixth year running

London, UK | 17 January 2023

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has been officially certified by the Top Employers Institute, for a sixth consecutive year, in recognition of its exceptional employee offerings. As a globally recognised certification process, being named as a Top Employer underlines Konica Minolta’s commitment to offer the best employee experience and attract and retain industry-leading talent.

Konica Minolta’s commitment to its employee experience includes a range of initiatives focused on the evolving workspace and changing needs and expectations of employees. For example, a choice-based working approach gives full flexibility to employees to work when, where, and how they want to (balancing the needs of our business and our customers) and has proven to be critical in maintaining a work/life balance. This is further supported by the intelligent use of digital communications (chiefly Microsoft Teams) to ensure working flexibility and continual connection from any location, with several thriving channels for all employees to access a variety of topics (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion, Virtual Book Clubs, Wellbeing etc.)

Konica Minolta also supports initiatives that create a fully inclusive workplace for all. These include Employee Representative Groups (ERGs) - Vibrant (for the LGBTQ+ community), Breathe (the wellbeing network), and Balance (for gender equality). Each ERG is designed to educate, raise awareness, and drive true change and development in the organisation, looking closely at existing processes and programmes, and making inclusive changes at every stage.

Employee wellbeing is of paramount importance and along with the Breathe ERG, that leads initiatives aimed at improving employee wellbeing, Konica Minolta also offers WeCare, an external platform designed to help employees look after their own wellbeing. This includes mental and physical health support, quitting smoking, healthy eating, and access to healthcare providers.

Konica Minolta has many ways of collating a holistic view of how employees feel about working for the company, and their overall view on what is working and what isn’t. For example, the Global Engagement Survey is used to gain a current and reliable snapshot of employee opinions and feedback on their experiences. The most recent survey (November 2022) was completed by an impressive 81% of global employees and showed an increased employee engagement score from the previous survey in July 2021.

Gemma Lee added, “Konica Minolta puts people at the heart of our operations and everything we do. We know it is vital to listen attentively and to act where necessary. We work hard to ensure our processes and approach to the employee experience match the requirements of the rapidly evolving workplace and individual needs of our people. Meeting the important and stringent criteria of the Employer of Choice certification is a crucial part of our ongoing efforts. Whilst we know we aren’t perfect, and there is always more we can do, we are extremely proud of achieving Top Employer status again for 2023, and excited for the many initiatives and changes we’ll make over the next 12 months to address the ever-changing needs of our employees.”
