Konica Minolta donates office furniture and equipment to Four Acres Academy in Bristol

London, UK | 17 March 2023

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has donated surplus office furniture and equipment to Four Acres Academy in Bristol. The equipment was gifted to the academy when it became surplus as team members embrace Konica Minolta’s flexible and agile hybrid and remote working.

The donation of the equipment is part of Konica Minolta’s commitment to the circular economy and supporting the local communities it works in, as David Copping, Business Leader - Education & Charities Team commented, “We have long been a big supporter of hybrid and remote working for our teams, but in the wake of the pandemic it became clear that the majority of our employees favoured this approach on a more permanent basis. As a business we equally support the reuse of equipment and furniture wherever possible as both an environmental benefit and a chance to help local people. This was the perfect opportunity to benefit the local community by donating these surplus items to Four Acres Academy.”

In total, two van loads of equipment were moved from Konica Minolta’s Cribbs Causeway office to the academy in the south of Bristol. Items donated by Konica Minolta to Four Acres Academy included: tables, office chairs, cabinets, recycling bins, white boards and flipchart boards, fire extinguishers, and stationary/paper.

The items have been well received by the academy, as Matthew Cave, Head Teacher at Four Acres Academy also commented, “I visited the office to collect the furniture and equipment and we were delighted to receive this generous donation from Konica Minolta.”
