Konica Minolta launches KIP mono systems for wide format flexibility

Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has expanded its monochrome wide format portfolio to include three new KIP multifunctional systems the KIP 7700, the KIP 7900 and the KIP 7100.

Modular, integrated and expandable, the KIP 7700 and KIP 7900 multifunctional wide format printing systems deliver ultimate versatility, advanced technology and superior image quality as well as reliable performance. Used either as monochrome network printers or via USB, the KIP 7700 and KIP 7900 provide A0 prints, targeting monthly print volumes of up to 12,000 (KIP 7700) and up to 15,000 (KIP 7900) prints.

The KIP 7700 and KIP 7900 are available in a variety of system configurations to meet specific production demands. Upgrades include scanning functionality, stacker and an online folder, with finishing performed at full output speed. Low production costs, superior usability and a small footprint of the KIP 7700/7900 mean professional print providers and design studios can all benefit from these mono wide format devices.

Another new monochrome wide format printer from Konica Minolta is the KIP 7100. The all-in-one system provides printing, copying and colour scanning functionality. Front access to all major functions leverages operational convenience. The just one square metre footprint guarantees high productivity even in small offices. The system manages roll and cut sheet media for better versatility and flexibility. The KIP 7100’s advanced monochrome LED printing technology is very economical and delivers affordable wide format prints. Finishing options include stacking and folding.

The KIP 7100’s expandability is the key to its all-round capability and makes it suitable for decentralised and centralised environments, delivering walk-up convenience (for example through a USB port) and also production printing capabilities.

The KIP 7700/7900 and KIP 7100 monochrome systems provide superior usability in the form of a large on-board colour LCD touch panel. This intuitive user interface means even users without special training can operate the printers immediately.

All KIP 7 series systems feature IPS 7.4, a comprehensive new software suite including the KIP Cost Review Application for easy cost management and accounting. All systems also offer PC and web-based viewing and printing of documents. In addition, KIP Cloud Printing provides direct email-based accessibility that does not require intermediate servers, allowing total document privacy and security for printing from any connected device. Certified drivers for Windows and AutoCAD deliver optimal compatibility.

For Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), Mark Hinder, PPD Market Development Manager stated, “With the KIP 7700/7900 and the KIP 7100 we have further updated our wide format portfolio with extremely versatile monochrome systems. These systems team up to be the most complete selection for technical environments we have ever been able to offer.”
