Konica Minolta has launched two of their top range monochrome A4 printers, the pagepro 4650EN and the pagepro 5650EN. These have been developed for medium to large sized workgroups who have high levels of monochrome output. These printers deliver impressive print speeds, enhanced image reproduction and cost efficiency.

Fast and reliable printing is vital to any workgroup or corporate office users. Konica Minolta’s new pagepro 4650EN and pagepro 5650EN delivers just that with 34 monochrome pages per minute from the pagepro 4650EN and 43 monochrome pages per minute from the pagepro 5650EN. Both printers feature the latest Emperon controller with 500 MHz processing, 128 MB standard memory and Gigabit Ethernet ensuring reliable and consistent printing performance. An optional duplexer, offset stacker and extra lower paper feeders can further enhance overall productivity.

Printing capabilities excel with the pagepro 4650EN and pagepro 5650EN. Resolutions of 1200 x 1200 dpi from both devices create clearly defined text and excellent monochrome images, suitable for tables and graphs in reports.

A large range of office printing requirements can be accommodated with the paper feeders used which can process various paper types with a weight of up to 216 gsm. Users can print ad-hoc documents such as invoices, orders, labels or packing lists on their desired media and at their convenience. Both devices come with an optional lower paper feeder increasing the paper input capacity to 1800 sheets. Users can also have the option of an offset stacker increasing output capacity to 500 sheets.  

Controlling and managing printing is now possible with the pagepro 4650EN and pagepro 5650EN combining convenience with security. The secure printing option requires users to determine an alphanumerical password on their computer. Only after the same code has been entered on the printer’s front panel will the documents be printed.

 

USB connectivity is a further advantage of the new Konica Minolta devices with an optional hard disk. With this PDF, TIFF or JPEG files can be printed directly from a USB stick without the need for a computer.

The high performance Emperon controller in the pagepro 4650EN and the pagepro 5650EN ensure that the integration into existing IT environments is smooth and easy. The Emperon system is responsible for the devices’ compatibility with several printing languages like PS3 and PCL6 as well as with a range of operating systems and business applications. The pagepro 4650EN and pagepro 5650EN support XPS (XML Paper Specification) file format from Microsoft Vista, thereby significantly improving data sharing and printing.
