Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has acquired Ideal Reprographics Eastern Ltd, a Basildon based reprographics business and Konica Minolta dealership. Ideal Reprographics has had a long association with Konica Minolta and the acquisition is a consequence of the close relationship between the two companies.

The current Konica Minolta product line up ranges from an entry-level 5ppm (print per minute) printer through to a 105ppm production print system for high speed commercial print applications. The latest generation of Konica Minolta document imaging systems are designated 'bizhub'.

Commenting on the acquisition Yuki Kobayashi, Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) said, "This acquisition will facilitate and support the continued growth of Ideal, and at the same time contribute to Konica Minolta's drive towards its strategic market goals in the UK - this acquisition being clear evidence of our commitment to achieving these".
