12/04/2006Sales figures for 2005 from Infosource¹ reveal that Konica Minolta is the number one supplier of colour devices in Europe for the second year running. The results show also that Konica Minolta has held on to the leadership position in the three largest markets in Europe: France, Germany and the UK.
With 38.4 per cent market share in full-colour devices, Konica Minolta is dominating this sector. The closest competitor is trailing in second place with just a 21.6 per cent market share.
This dramatic success has been due to Konica Minolta's full range of full colour devices, from magicolor desktop printers to bizhub PRO production printing systems. These colour systems have won numerous awards from independent industry experts and have gained a reputation for quality and reliability. To ensure that the company keeps hold of this lead in 2006 it announced the launch of three new systems at CeBIT 2006. The bizhub C300, bizhub C352 and bizhub C352P extend Konica Minolta's comprehensive range of high quality and reliable full colour MFPs².
Olaf Lorenz, General Manager Product Marketing Division, said of the company's latest achievements, "This is fantastic news for the company, we feel very strongly that we have the most superior colour products on the market and these figures prove this. We plan to hold on to this position with a very clear strategy of innovation and growth."
