Konica Minolta held its European Leadership Conference 2011 on 14 October in Munich, Germany. A significant number of UK Dealer Partners attended the event where they were able to learn about the Konica Minolta Managed Print Service offerings, a range of new products and green credentials, along with its range of professional and consultancy services.
In total 1,200 Dealer partners from across Europe gained an insight into the concepts and future of Konica Minolta products, services and business solutions. The company is focused on an expansion strategy with growth to be achieved through clear positioning as a full services provider in the B2B sector. The pan-European approach was defined as expansion of the business segments for Managed Print Services, Production Printing and Solutions and an intensification of strategic partnerships.
Ken Osuga, President of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, stated Konica Minolta’s path and objective to the Conference. “Konica Minolta is targeting company growth in Europe. We will obtain the required productivity and value creation by continuing to pursue the external and internal transformation to a solutions provider. The key levers for this are the expansion of the business segments Managed Print Services and Production Printing and the extension of Services and Solutions.” Konica Minolta’s Optimized Print Services (OPS) is expanding throughout Europe. Launched in 2010, the OPS methodology has rapidly become a trend-setting tool for comprehensive external print and document services in B2B business.
The event slogan – ‘Twogether for Tomorrow’ referred to a further business principle of strategic cooperation and distribution partners playing a central role in implementing the business model. “More complex IT structures and flexible working processes always require new combinations of system technology, software and applications. Apart from internal solutions and software, we also require specific partner know-how in order to react precisely to the individual requirements of various different projects.” said Osuga.
In an associated exhibition to the Conference covering an area of 1,500 square metres, new products, applications and services were displayed The focus of the exhibition followed information technology mega trends such as Cloud applications and mobile IT. In addition a cross-industry, vertical market approach emphasised the progressive change of Konica Minolta as a solution provider.
A number of exhibition displays were dedicated to individual target markets. Olaf Lorenz, General Manager, International Marketing Division at Konica Minolta Business Solutions stated, “Konica Minolta pursues a vertical market approach. Our focus is in education, healthcare, finance and the legal industry. We are able to provide a range of dedicated integrated solutions that respond to these markets particular needs.”
Yuki Kobayashi, Managing Director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions in the UK added “Our Dealer Partners were able to receive an insight into the future of The Business Solutions division at the European Leadership Conference 2011.
