Konica Minolta has been faced with the fact that very occasionally some of the printers listed below overheat. In order to do our utmost for customer safety, Konica Minolta is offering a free inspection and, if required, modification.
Issue
In extreme cases only, overheating is a fire hazard due to insufficient processing on electric wiring in the duplex transportation unit of the magicolors listed below. Worldwide only one case is known to have occurred. Of course, customer safety is fundamentally important for Konica Minolta. So the company is offering a free inspection for affected products.
List of products affected
| Models | Months of Manufacturing | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A4 colour printer: magicolor 4750DN | June 2010 through March 2011 | Without a green or black sticker on serial no. plate |
| A4 colour printer: magicolor 3730DN | June 2010 through March 2011 | Without a green or black sticker on serial no. plate |
Machines with a green or black sticker on the serial number plate are not affected at all. In order to avoid any misunderstanding please see the chart above.
Users with a green or a black sticker on the serial number plate of their device (marked red in the chart above) can be sure that their device is unaffected by overheating and do not have to react in any way.
In case a device has no green or black sticker and was manufactured between June 2010 and March 2011 (marked yellow above), customers can make use of a free inspection, if they so wish, by contacting their local Konica Minolta Support at
