Konica Minolta colour multifunctionals have received outstanding recognition in the prestigious Buyers Laboratory Inc Summer 2010 ‘Pick’ awards honouring outstanding A3 multifunctionals, with Konica Minolta earning the coveted awards in mid to high-speed range.

The Konica Minolta bizhub C652/C652DS, C552 and C452 underwent a combined 600,000 impressions of durability testing by BLI with a total of just six misfeeds and no service required. In fact, the flawless reliability performance of the bizhub C452 was the best among business colour models in its speed range since late 2005.

Superior image quality is another hallmark of the award winning bizhubs. “Colour print quality is a big differentiator for Konica Minolta, as unlike the majority of business colour models we test, all three of these models produced output that received high marks for both business graphics output and photographic image output,” said BLI Managing Editor Daria Hoffman. For more graphics-intensive environments, an EFI Fiery controller is also available for all the devices.

The bizhub C452 also made an impact on BLI testers in terms of energy efficiency. It received an Outstanding Achievement award that BLI gives to the most energy-efficient models tested in the past half year. Testers noted that the bizhub C452 features significantly lower than average projected annual energy consumption. It also uses a lower than average amount of energy in most running and non-running modes tested. BLI pointed out that users can set the device to its lowest energy using modes without sacrificing productivity, as the bizhub’s recovery times from energy-save and sleep modes are significantly below average, too.
