The Konica Minolta stand theme at Northprint is ‘Black is Back’, with further additions to the black-and-white production range. Previewed at the show is the new bizhub PRO 1200. Producing 120 mono prints per minute, the bizhub PRO 1200 builds on the huge success of the bizhub PRO 1050 and is equipped with a new high performance RIP. The bizhub PRO 1200 has much to offer in terms of in-line finishing, including a multi-punch tool based on GBC technology.
 
Also launched at the show is the new bizhub PRO 950 aimed at the light production market. The versatile bizhub PRO 950 has a 95 page per minute print speed for monochrome output and can easily handle monthly volumes of between 60,000 and 200,000 pages, with peak volumes of up 750,000 pages.
 
Konica Minolta’s high speed bizhub PRO 2500P will be demonstrated at Northprint for the first time with the Watkiss PowerSquare™ 200 book making system that stitches, folds, forms a square back spine and trims the pages to size in one pass. The bizhub PRO 2500P prints 250 images per minute in a single-pass process, and is capable of high print volumes up to 8 million images per month. A wide range of different media weights can be processed ranging from 50 to 300gsm.
 
For colour output Konica Minolta is showing the bizhub PRO C65hc colour digital press with new High Chroma toner technology. Able to print at 65 colour or mono prints a minute, the bizhub PRO C65hc uses Konica Minolta’s revolutionary High Chroma toner to produce print results that replicate the colour palate of an RGB monitor using CYMK print process.
 
Also for colour output Konica Minolta is showing the bizhub PRO C6501e available with a comprehensive range of finishing options including perfect binding. The bizhub PRO C6501e has an output capacity of up to 3,900 pages per hour (65 pages per minute) in both full colour and black and white. Konica Minolta recently received Fogra certification for the bizhub PRO C6501e.
 
Visitors to the Konica Minolta stand can see the new systems demonstrated with applications from Konica Minolta’s Solutions Portfolio.
