Designed to perform efficiently in a variety of print environments, the IC-301 print controller is intuitive and easy to operate for both novice and professional users.
Supporting multiple languages, the IC-301 has a friendly graphical user interface, an easy to use workspace, and is equipped with an array of comprehensive tools that monitor the job and printer status, track printer resources and control the print process.
Based on a robust platform that integrates Creo’s advanced fusion imaging hardware technology, the IC-301 print controller offers efficiency, flexibility and speed throughout the entire workflow process.
Virtual printers and hot folders automate the workflow using pre-set unique job parameters that are stored within the folder. When a job is sent to a virtual printer or hot folder, it automatically acquires the attributes of the pre-set parameters, and can be sent immediately to print.
When it comes to vibrant colour and superb image quality, the IC-301 leverages Creo’s vast experience in graphic arts, offering both superb out of the box colour, as well as customized colour management tools for professionals.
The advanced colour tools allow users to make last-minute, on-the-fly colour corrections in gradation, brightness, contrast, and calibration, without the need to re-RIP the entire file. Different colour workflows for CMYK and RGB sourced images ensure maximum colour accuracy for each colour space.
Bringing together the worlds of offset print and digital print once seemed farfetched, but is becoming an essential requirement to maintain that competitive edge.
Using Creo's Graphic Art Port (GAP), the IC-301 can process pre-separated files created for offset, and print them digitally.

The IC-301 print controller offers connectivity with the Creo Brisque workflow system, especially designed for the commercial printer, allowing the user to define job parameters on the Brisque for a digital job.
The IC-301 supports file formats such as TIFF TIFF/IT and CT/LW so that offset jobs that need to be reprinted either urgently, in a small quantity or even just proofed, can be redirected to a digital printer.
The IC-301 also offers a professional imposition tool, easy-to-use automation tools for retaining print defaults and – in combination with the bizhub PRO C500 – flexible paper-handling and inline finishing capabilities.
With the IC-301print controller, the efficient production of personalized pages is a crucial component of Konica Minolta’s comprehensive workflow offering. The IC-301’s robust Variable Information solution can process even the most complex documents at the rated speed of the printer, and like a regular print job, with VI printing, previewed and colour corrected on the fly.
A Spot color editor fine tunes color output, by enabling users to edit the CMYK values of every color in the spot dictionary, or alternatively, create new ones, and still control their translation to the printer.
