Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS C8000 digital production print system has received ‘Exceptional 5-Star Rating’ from The Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories Inc (BERTL) in the United States. The ‘Exceptional 5-Star Rating’ is highly significant because BERTL is an independent testing laboratory providing objective, independent product evaluation reports and comparative analyses on imaging devices and software solutions. BERTL ‘Exceptional 5-Star Rating’ is only awarded to industry-leading products, and positions the bizhub PRESS C8000 as the must-have colour digital press for the production print marketplace.

Buyers Lab (BLI) has tested Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRESS C7000 and awarded the BLI 5-star grade for short-run colour consistency. Never before has a tested production unit received the BLI 5-star grade for short-run colour consistency. As for processing speed, the bizhub PRESS C7000 with the EFI Fiery controller IC-306 outperformed all competing units tested by BLI with the lab’s own raster image processor (RIP) job stream.

Konica Minolta’s bizhub PRO C6000 digital print system has been awarded Best Production Cut-Sheet Colour (Light Production) Printer of the Year 2011 by the European Digital Press Association (EDP).

In its award statement the EDP said, “The award is given for being very fast and for its simple programming and high resolution. Its small footprint means that near litho quality can now be available to in house reprographic departments and the graphic arts market.”
