Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) markets digital imaging systems through a direct sales force and a network of independent dealerships. Konica Minolta digital imaging systems are manufactured in Japan and China. All are ISO9002 accredited for quality procedures.

In the UK, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has set ambitious goals to be the leading supplier of colour imaging systems by the end of the decade and to secure a significant share of the commercial digital production print market. In both these key market sectors Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) already has considerable success.

The current Konica Minolta product line up ranges from an entry-level 5 print per minute printer through to a 120 print per minute production print system for high-speed commercial print applications. The latest generation of Konica Minolta document imaging systems are designated 'bizhub'.

'bizhub PRO' is a subset of Konica Minolta's bizhub brand, featuring products and peripherals designed specifically for production print professionals. The bizhub PRO line of products has been developed with the features and durability demanded by the high-volume, production print and CRD environments. The bizhub PRO designation will be found on both monochrome and colour production units.

All new Konica Minolta multifunctional imaging systems now feature the new 'bizhub OP' open platform. bizhub OP was developed by Konica Minolta to bring a new level of performance and reliability to the office multifunctional imaging system by delivering a common user interface, increased manageability, superior print performance, improved scanning functionality and enhanced security. 

The three major components of bizhub OP are the bizhub Architecture, the Emperon Print System and bizhub Open API. The bizhub Architecture removes the need for separate functional boards through the use of common system software to drive all functions - copy, print, scan and fax. The new architecture also eliminates hardware-based functions.

The Emperon Print System provides bizhub users with total integration of their document output management with a consistent user interface and functionality across future Konica Minolta products. In addition, the bizhub Open API will enable control of both the print and scan functions from external applications.
