Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) has introduced Open Bee Scan Viewer, a simple and easy to use software solution which enables users to scan documents using Konica Minolta’s bizhub range of multifunctionals and upload scanned documents to an easily accessible digital archive.

Ideal for midsized companies with document intensive workflows, Open Bee Viewer is a web based interface solution package that uploads and stores documents direct from the scanner bed to an online archive. Using a web browser, an unlimited number of users can access the archive where documents can then be searched, retrieved and downloaded with minimal effort.

Open Bee Viewer is designed to be operable for non-technical users, so Konica Minolta has ensured that on screen prompts guide users through the easy to follow process. All major document file formats are supported including PDF, TIFF, Word and Excel, so once a document is scanned it can then be saved in the relevant format to the archive. Logical archiving with a Windows folder structure and web based search engine capabilities ensures quick and simple retrieval.

Open Bee Scan Viewer  is part of the Konica Minolta Solutions Portfolio, a comprehensive range of software solutions including applications developed by Konica Minolta and a number of ‘best of breed’ solutions produced by third party developers, supplied and supported by Konica Minolta. The aim is to cover the entire print management process: origination, workflow, fulfilment and archiving. The marriage of networked bizhub multifunctional systems with software solutions provides total document workflow management.
