Konica Minolta’s bizhub C35 offers cost-effective A4 output

Milton Keynes UK, 13 July 2010
In a significant product development, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd has launched the bizhub C35, a compact A4 colour multifunctional that will be available to customers on a cost per copy price plan from Konica Minolta direct and through its authorised dealership network.

The new bizhub C35 offers all the sophisticated functionality of the outstanding bizhub colour range, but with a small footprint making it ideal for the busy office where space is at a premium. With its print, copy, scan and fax capabilities as standard, the multifunctional bizhub C35 can serve as a single, central hub for small businesses and workgroups. Output speed is a brisk 30 pages per minute for both colour and black-and-white. The bizhub C35P is a print only variant of the bizhub C35, for customers who do not require the scanning, faxing or copying facilities.

To simplify complex print jobs the bizhub C35 features Konica Minolta’s unique Emperon™ print technology. The Emperon™ controller has an 800MHz processor, and standard 1.5GB RAM with a 120GB hard drive and PCL, PostScript, XPS and PDF 1.7 support. For network connectivity standard gigabit Ethernet is supported with the added flexibility of USB 2.0 peer-to-peer connection.

The highly productive bizhub C35 has a first page out speed of under 13 seconds for network printing and copying. Full 30 page per minute productivity is maintained for copying from the ADF and duplex output. Print quality is excellent thanks to the use of Konica Minolta’s patented Simitri HD Polymerised Toner. With smaller, smoother, more uniform toner particles Simitri HD allows fusing at lower temperatures and produces high quality images with a wider colour gamut.

Document scanning is fast and simple to email, FTP, HDD, SMB and USB. Scan formats include PDF and compact PDF, XPS as well as TIFF and JPEG. The Super G3 fax functionality includes analogue and PC fax capabilities, with convenient sending and receiving of faxes via the PC.

Standard paper capacity is 250 sheets from the main drawer plus a 100-sheet by-pass. This can be increased with an optional two further paper drawers, each with a 500-sheet capacity. Paper sizes from A6 to A4 and paper weights between 60 and 210gsm are supported.

For efficient management of the bizhub C35, Konica Minolta’s PageScope Enterprise Suite is available providing a suite of integrated software applications and utilities that allow businesses to save time, reduce costs and increase productivity.

Commenting on the launch of the new bizhub C35, Malcolm Smith, Group Product Manager for Konica Minolta office products said, “Larger organisations usually print the bulk of their office jobs at centrally installed A3 multifunctional production centres and complement these with smaller satellite devices for specific workgroups. For these decentral office tasks right at one’s desk, our new bizhub C35 and C35P are the ideal solutions. They are compact, operate quietly and process confidential data with discretion. The beauty of these devices is that that the customer retains many of the benefits that they would get with our award-winning A3 Colour MFP series. The machine retains many of he functionality benefits and is available on a cost per copy basis, making great economic sense for customers keen to reduce their print costs.”
